Confrontation – Jina Wallwork

Their hatred escalates until the world burns at their feet. Conflict feeds on their anger until it becomes too large to be contained by their actions. Revenge has entered a stage of perpetual motion and has obtained a life of its own. There were many occasions when peace asked to enter this space, although those opportunities were forgotten long ago. Conflict destroys their world and they have become like animals fighting over the scraps of what remains. They have shaped the world in which they live. Peace was rejected and forgotten, but it waits patiently within their hearts. It waits for their exhaustion and it anticipates a moment when they will reflect upon their lives and ask if this is really how they want to live. Peace cannot force itself into the world they have created, however it can be hunted and rediscovered by those who need it the most.
