Creation – Jina Wallwork

If you let go of your creation then it will gravitate towards its own home. There should be no attempts to control its destiny. We all include pieces of ourselves within our artistic endeavors and the intense emotional attachment makes it difficult to let go. Every creation has a life of its own. It is alive with the ideas and emotions that originated from its creator, but once manifest in the physical world it becomes an echo of who the artist was at a specific point in time. The creation must be discarded so the artist can grow beyond the past and step into the future.
