Heart and Mind by Jina Wallwork

Problems are created when I use only my intellect to make decisions. I’m sure that my choices would be appropriate for any rational human being, although I’m unconvinced that people are purely rational. My mind will never fully understand my passion, and it will always struggle to make decisions that are tailored to its needs. My heart is also limited because it’s incapable of making choices that will expand my mind beyond its current abilities. Neither heart nor mind can dominate the other. I see my path clearly when conflict is resolved and they exist in unison. It is in those moments that I taste true fulfillment, because I contain a sense of purpose that is perpetuated by my inner peace. I know that my life has meaning, and I’m walking along the path that is right for me. Life is delicious when my heart and mind exist as one.
