Lightning by Jina Wallwork
I try to identify the shapes within the darkness. The absence of light has created a mystery which inspires an investigation. Occasionally, I become lost within my imagination and I struggle to locate reality. I accept that the truth is often elusive. If knowledge has been obtained too easily then it is possibly without substance. Every fact must be challenged. The truth loves scrutiny because it gives it the opportunity to reveal its own beauty. We wait in the darkness and then a flash of lightning makes the world visible. The truth always asks to be explored, while lies cower from the light. The truth will not bend when it’s interrogated, and it can’t be shaped by a person’s desire or command. There is no power that can shape its nature, and only a fool would try. You can’t alter what the lightning has revealed. A moment of truth should raise new questions and encourage you to find its light in places that were once beyond your vision. One strike of lightning connects to a greater illumination.
