Seascape – Jina Wallwork
To sit next to the sea is a peaceful place. You can feel the sand between your toes, the warmth from the sun and a cool breeze. Everything is telling you to relax. The rhythm of the water as it meets the sand inspires you to be at peace, but there is anger in your bones. The world is not asking you to be angry. Every obstacle to peace has been removed. Still your mind roams and delivers problems that are far from your location. You want to see the beauty that surrounds you but it is coated in a haze of red.
Seeing red, being angry and not knowing how to let go. There is a struggle within, but it is impossible to fight for peace. You cannot demand tranquility; you cannot force its acquisition. You must let go of everything that is not tranquil. It is not an act of ‘doing’, it is an act of ‘being’. You must become peace. Allow the red to disperse and feel the white light of inner calm to rise to the surface.
