I watch the sails on their ships as they become shaped by the wind. I know these vessels will travel further than I ever will. I am not filled with longing for a life that is not my own. I think of sailing the ocean, and I’m reminded of how much I love my home. The simplicity of this life nurtures me in so many ways, and everything I need is here. My home is wherever my family is. It is where my connections are the strongest. When you’re surrounded by kindness and compassion, why would you desire anything more? There is no need to seek what is already there.
