Sleep – Jina Wallwork
I empty my consciousness into a vessel of exhaustion. It waits for me, unaware of the distance. I’m lost in the river. My body is weightless, and I am lifted beyond this shell. I drift away from my sense of self only to discover something more. I’m sinking deeper into a new truth. It is a world I may or may not remember. This dream contains fragments of self-knowledge, but it speaks in the dreamer’s unique language, and I cannot be sure that it is me. I want to remember every symbol and deliver each of them to my waiting consciousness. This world seems to be more than an illusion, and I try to comprehend my location. At the same time, I attempt to navigate this trembling dreamscape. I am controlled by the dream, and I have no other choice. All I can do is let go.
