Solitude and Connection by Jina Wallwork

Solitude can be many things, but if you want it to be a positive experience then you must choose solitude out of a desire to connect to the deepest parts of your own soul. You must be inspired by a love of connection or you will only notice the depths of your loneliness. Without love, you will struggle to see your own gifts beyond the walls of your own prison. Solitude is defined by the love that you feel. Sometimes, people seek solitude because they no longer want to connect to another human being. It is in these circumstances that solitude isn’t required. When the experience of connecting to others has become filled with pain you might want to spend your time alone, but solitude must reject you, so isolation can take its place. Solitude can lead you to isolation but remember that this a path that goes in both directions. Total isolation will feel cold and the experience will become so unbearable that you will choose to connect to others. Time spent with loved ones will remind you of the magic of being with other people. There is a time for solitude and a time for connection. They’re two pieces of the journey that we all take. To experience the best of solitude you must love to connect to yourself. You must believe that the energy of connection is one of the most amazing aspects of all of existence. To experience the depths of a connection, you must take the time to connect to solitude and discover who you really are.
