The Color White – Jina Wallwork
As I walk across the canvas, I recognize your difficulties. I am here to divide and unite. I must divide you from your conflict, while allowing you to retain your individuality. Colors, I don’t want you to change. I want you to express your own brilliance and be loud and visible. I don’t want you to conform to a single hue. Instead, I want you to declare your magnificence and be true to your unique characteristics. Division allows us to unite while remaining true to our individual strengths. You are beautiful, and I don’t want you to change. Allow me to walk between you neutralizing any areas of conflict. I will make sure your space is respected and that you don’t infringe upon the position of any other shade. Give me the space to harmonize this canvas, and your individuality can be free to visually excite any viewer. When colors are in conflict it doesn’t reveal the best of who we are, and it disguises all that we have the potential to be. I’m not suggesting that the process of harmonization is easy. We must be mindful of any conflict and aim to diffuse any tensions or disagreements. Peace is never the default setting. It is the outcome of compromise, understanding, and hard work. As colors we can work together and create something beautiful. We shall bring peace to this canvas.
