Watching by Jina Wallwork
You’re surrounded by the eyes of others. They circle around you scrutinizing your every action. Don’t let their perception shape your behavior. Hold on to your strength and refuse to bend to the vision of another. Be brave, express yourself with confidence and overcome any fear of ridicule. Whether you’re invisible or on display you should never hide your true self.
The perceptions of others are irrelevant when compared to how you see yourself. Close your eyes and you will still see your own heart. The clarity of the image can sometimes feel overwhelming because you’re in touch with your true guide. Your perception should be the vision that shapes your behavior. Listen to your own voice, as you silence the opinions of people who will never understand what it feels like to be you. There are actions that make you feel good about yourself and actions that can fill you with self-loathing. The only judgment that matters is your own. In solitude you create your own jury and it can either condemn or praise you. You can chain yourself to the horrors you’ve created, or you can accept your failings and move forward. Follow the path that you believe is right for you. Aim to be someone that you can love. Do the things that make you feel good about who you are. If you do this, you will always have your own love to keep you warm. Every loving action that you deliver will also send love back to you.
