Meditate
Enter the sanctuary of your own mind. You’re forgiven for assuming that you know what is present. There are many surprises waiting for your exploration. I don’t know your gifts and abilities, so I’m unaware of what awaits you. However, I want you to realize that you may also be unaware of your full potential. Self-knowledge is not automatic. We speak in conversation and we spend hours trying to explore the people we love, yet we often underestimate the significance of the relationship we have with ourselves. We presume that we can easily answer questions about who we really are. This false judgment places restrictions upon us. If you never explore the depths of your own inner world, then you will become an actor who cannot separate themselves from the character they play. When you listen to your own voice, you will discover your authentic self.
Meditation is the act of listening to your own thoughts. Singing, dancing, walking, or drawing can all be meditation. There are many possibilities and you don’t need to be quiet. Find a solitary activity that speaks in a language that you can understand. It’s about discovering what feels right for you and then listening to your own thoughts and feelings as you engage in your chosen activity. It’s an opportunity to understand your own desires and interests. Listening is an important part of every relationship and the connection that you have with yourself is no different. You must take the time to observe your changes and discover new things about yourself. Listen to your own thoughts and enhance the connection that you have with yourself. There is a lot to discover.
